Watercolor on Handmade Nujabi Paper
A continuation of the solitary chairs that I find myself strangely connected to, and wanting to just take a seat. Each one is paired with a related tea package transfer that the watercolor is painted over. Part of the fun is seeing through the painting to see if you can identify the tea by Yogi Teas. They are also meant to invoke a feeling of mindfulness, encouraging the viewer to literally sit. This particular chair is owned by watercolor artist, Elissa Nesheim, who sent a photo of it inspired by my Take a Seat paintings.
Unmounted artwork will be shipped mounted on acid-free board, enclosed in an archival clear bag in a rigid envelope. Mounting on cradled panel is an option - the sides are finished with wax furniture paste, leaving a natural finish. The painting is spray varnished with a satin-finish UV coating.
