Annual Making Matters: Fresh Perspectives in Fine Craft
LOCATION: Peters Valley Gallery 19 Kuhn Rd, Layton, NJ 07851 DATES: May 18th - August 4th OPENING: Saturday, May 18th, 3-5pm Making Matters is an annual exhibition showcasing the work of the season’s visiting artist instructors and summer artistic staff. The variety of media, styles and techniques included reflect the diversity in the programming offered at Peters Valley. Meet the Artist and TeaScape Demo
LOCATION: Casa Bella Market 3604 Witherspoon Blvd. #105, Durham, NC 27707 DATE: May 20th Time: 3:30 - 5:30pm Join me at Casa Bella Market on 5/20 from 3:30 - 5:30pm to meet me and other exhibiting artists. I'll be bringing supplies to demonstrate my TeaScape making process, as well as announcing an upcoming workshop to be held at Casa Bella Market. Local restaurant /bar and James Beard Outstanding Bar Program Finalist, Alley Twenty Six, will also be on hand to demonstrate cocktail mixing. |
Taking up Space: Original Eight
LOCATION: Jean Gray Mohs Studio, #110, Artspace 201 E. Davie St. Raleigh, NC DATES: May 5th Time: 6 - 9pm Last May, these eight artists came together to exhibit their work at the Pocket Gallery in Raleigh, in an inaugural global initiative, Taking Up Space, aiming to give women and non-binary artists a seat at the table. This exhibit has grown into a juried show, organized by Jean Gray to offer more spaces. The show Scaffold, is currently on exhibit at ArtSpace, while the Original Eight are being exhibited in a one-night show in Jean Gray’s studio. |
Annual Art for All Fundraising Fest
LOCATION: Artpost, 718 Iredell Street, Durham, NC 27705 DATES: April 15 Time: 12 - 5pm Find a selection of Jennie's works including TeaScapes and Giclée Prints inside the Art For All tent. You can purchase work from afar - we'll work out shipping later. A percentage of sales will go to benefit their mission of providing art education at pay-what-you-can prices. One of my paintings will be available for a raffle prize. There will be over ten artists vending, music, food trucks, and art activities. |
Virtual Artist Residency
LOCATION: Jennie's Studio, North Durham, NC DATES: February 7th - March 7th, 2023 The Virtual Artist Residency, encouraged by the Thrive Together Network, is a month long commitment that I define. This year I'm finishing up a commission and taking out elements from my sketchbook from last February, and embarking on new work. Durham Art Guild 2023 Members' Showcase Exhibit
LOCATION: Truist Gallery inside the Durham Arts Council Building, 120 Morris St., Durham, NC 27701 DATES: thru March 4th, 2023 This annual exhibition is a submission-free and non-juried opportunity to showcase the work of our talented and valued member artists. This year’s exhibition features 70 artworks by 70 local/regional member artists working in a variety of mediums and styles. I have one piece in the exhibit - Positive Seat at the Crossroads. |
