Part of my new Take a Seat series, depicting chairs in isolation that invite you to sit. This idea of taking a seat is inspired by my meditation practice in which teachers often use that phrase to transition into meditation. This piece is named for the Raspberry Leaf Tea package that is layered into the watercolor painting. This particular piece started out as a swatch paper, but I loved the marks so much I felt they were a suited ground for this modern red chair.
