Channel your love of Nordic countries through painting in watercolors. Over a two-day workshop, you’ll get a crash course into the fundamentals of watercolor, which will allow for playing with various techniques and imagery. Then you will have the opportunity to develop your own painting of a Nordic scene from those skills. This intimate group (beginners through advanced) of Loyal Lodge members will be led by NC teaching artist, Jennie Traill Schaeffer, with some Nordic games thrown in for “fun learning”.

FIRST DAY:
  • Familiarize with Paints, Brushes, Paper
  • Paint in Monochrome (one color)
  • Explore Basic Watercolor Techniques
  • Focus on Process, rather than Finish

SECOND DAY:
  • Review from First Day
  • Address Techniques needing further explanation
  • Begin a painting using your preferred techniques
  • Finish the painting if time allows

DATES: Sundays, January 23 & 30th
HOURS: 1 - 4pm
AGES: Adults, Limit to 12 students
LOCATION: Via Zoom in the comfort of your own home (in a space where you can be focused with good lighting)

FEE:
$110 (must attend both dates)

SUPPLIES:
Bring your own supplies (list provided upon enrollment). I offer options for varying qualities and price points. I also give recommendations during the workshop of supplies you may find useful in the future.

TECHNOLOGY:
Smart phone, tablet, laptop / desktop (preferably two of the 4 options). 

ENROLLMENT DEADLINES:
Exclusive to Loyal Lodge members through 1/7/22. After that date, if availability, friends of members may enroll. All enrollment closes 1/15/22.
