Wing Chair of the Reservoir
Wing Chair of the Reservoir
5" x 7"
Watercolor on Strathmore CP Watercolor Paper
A continuation of the solitary chairs that I find myself strangely connected to, and wanting to just take a seat. Each one is paired with a related tea package transfer that the watercolor is painted over. Part of the fun is seeing through the painting to see if you can identify the tea by Traditional Medicinals. They are also meant to invoke a feeling of mindfulness, encouraging the viewer to literally sit. This vibrant red chair, the Erik Wing Chair by West Elm is one of our personal pieces and a favorite chair of mine to curl up and watch movies on Friday nights. It's floating over the water at the Orange Reservoir - a location in West Orange, NJ, that I covet and visit for runs when I need a change of scenery.
Unmounted artwork will be shipped mounted on acid-free board, enclosed in an archival clear bag in a rigid envelope. Mounting on cradled panel is an option - the sides are finished with wax furniture paste, leaving a natural finish. The painting is spray varnished with a satin-finish UV coating. Framing is available - please contact me.
*Please note - the mounted image is a digital mock up and actual placement on the panel can't be controlled. This piece does not have a deckled edge.
