The Virgin River meanders through the canyon in Zion National Park, Utah's first national park. This scene greeted us late afternoon, after an intense hike to the Emerald Pools, with two young kids. The experience left me with an indescribable energy and sense of sweet fulfillment. Zion is an awe-inspiring place, one that I only barely dipped my toe into and hope to one day return.
