Part of Jennie’s recent series of Tea Scapes that combine image transfers of tea packaging with layered landscapes of environments she’s explored, to both salvage detritus from the trash, as well as depicting a need for space and increased mindfulness.


This watercolor TeaScape by Durham, NC, Artist, Jennie Traill Schaeffer, was inspired by Castle Geyser at Yellowstone, in Upper Geyser Basin, layered on packaging from ginger tea. I was struck by the cone feature of the geyser - which is the largest of its kind in Yellowstone - feeling very volcanic or even other-worldly.
