Invite Julia Child into your home, by means of her Kitchen Aid stand mixer, French whisk, pearls, and an abstraction of her kitchen through this reproduction of an original oil by Jennie. The original was created based on the collaged article about Julia Child's love of the French whisk and her French omelet recipe. These elements, as well as the striped pattern in the background and some of the paper in the bowl of the mixer were collaged. The rest of the painting was completed in oils and is now held in a private collection.
Only 75 prints will be released; several have already been sold. The print pictured has a depth of 1/2", but is also available stretched on 1 1/2" for an additional $25. Please allow up to four weeks turnaround time for printing, stretching and delivery as each giclée is printed on demand and shipped from my printer to me.
Note - this piece is signed "Schaeffer" (my maiden name) as it was painted in 2009, before I switched my signature to my middle name and business namesake, "Traill."
