Kip's Castle
Kip's Castle, located between Montclair and Verona on First Mountain, recreates a 9,000 square foot Norman castle mansion. It was built between 1902 - 1905 and was originally known as "Kypsburg" by Frederic Ellsworth Kip and Charlotte Bishop Williams Kip. They earned their wealth in the textile industry, in addition to several books Frederic authored on tariff laws. Charlotte was responsible for its design, especially it's renowned octagonal rose garden. The castle is painted on a 2.75" diameter ceramic ornament. There is a spelling error on the name of the castle. Should you wish it altered - I can repaint the back. I painted this during the holidays at a time of several commissions, and a mistake was made.
Each ARTament hangs with a redsatin ribbon and comes in a turquoise gift box with a gift card and label. Each ARTament is signed and titled.
