I'm lucky to live within ten minutes from the Montclair Art Museum (MAM), originally built in 1914. It's a gem of New Jersey: featuring a phenomenal collection of American and Native American art that includes over 12,000 objects. Beyond the physical artwork, MAM is one of the first American art museums to focus on collecting art by our country's artists, and recently has expanded into collecting contemporary art. They're also known for their excellent special exhibitions and art education programs for public schools, as well as their Yard School of Art, founded in 1924. The image features the original, Neoclassical, main entrance of the art museum and is painted on a 2.75" diameter ceramic ornament.
