Blueberries have been on my mind since I was a little girl. They are my favorite fruit, partly due to their color, circular form, as well as their flavor and health benefits. I've recently discovered the range of their beauty during the plant's life cycle. These new paintings on Aquabord are the blueberries first appearance in watercolor for me. I painted two small pieces over the summer of 2017. This piece in particular focuses on newly ripening fruits in splendorous teal and magenta.
