Got a hankering for some homemade gelato? This piece was painted after a trip to Italy several years ago; a place that will always have my heart after a study abroad trip in college. The twisting , folds of gelato stacked in mounds recall the twists and turns of Italian contrapposto. This piece is 48" x 24", painted in oil on handstretched Belgian linen, framed in an antiqued gold solid wood frame.
