TeaScapes:
TeaScapes are meditational environments created through the use of salvaged tea packaging layered with watercolor and gouache. This began after a family trip out to Wyoming and Utah which created a great deal of presence in our life. Returning home drove me to explore watercolors again, not just as sketches, but as finished works that utilize a stash of tea packages that I had stored for many months without a purpose. Each of these were completed on small watercolor sheets, then adhered to a wooden board, cradled and eventually protected with varnish.
